Welcome
Thank You For Visiting Hidden Threads - The Quilter’s Retreat
Hidden Threads is a comfy place to visit when you take a break from your busy schedule. Whether you want quilt patterns, photos, definitions, or shortcuts, Hidden Threads has a sewing box full of ideas.
My name is Sara, and I’ve been quilting for a while now, and my mother quilted before me, and her mother before her. If you want some company while you work on your quilting projects, pay me a visit. I love company - and comments!
I’d be glad to answer your questions, or point you in the direction of someone who can. Quilters are some of the nicest people on the planet, and I’d like this blog to be about the good fellowship of shared ideas and enthusiasm for an amazing pastime.
Too often, our families don’t understand our passion for fabric, so we should spend more time with people who do. Here’s to a big fabric stash, a well-oiled sewing machine, and straight seams from beginning to end.
If you have a moment, visit my herb blog, The Herb Gardener. It was featured in a March 2008 issue of The Wall Street Journal’s, Blog Watch column. Stop by if you have an extra minute. It has herb growing tips, as well as recipes and instructions for herb crafts. If you’d like to make a lavender pillow with your scraps, it’s easy and fun to do. So pay The Herb Gardener a visit.
Cheers,
Sara Elliott
